Building community through art

Hanan leads painting sessions in coffee houses and community spaces. The tables are covered, the paint is poured, and the room works on one design together, often a pomegranate, until every version looks like the person who made it. A pomegranate holds hundreds of seeds under one skin. By the end of the night, so does the room.

Plenty of adults stop making art when school ends and decide they were never any good at it. These sessions are for them. You sit with strangers, you make something with your hands, and you carry it home.
